1. Ali Baba
It would definately be a waste of time to talk about comedy in nigeria without mentioning the founding father of nigeria comedy ALI BABA ( Atuyota Akporobomeriere )he is our very own warri boy and he started comedy professionally in 1988 during his early days in school.
Initially when he started comedy, it was more of a display of a strong sense of humour but it has now become a major source of income to him.
Though his major breakthrough came In 1999 when he perform at a birthday party organised in honour of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
As at the time of putting this very post, Ali Baba is now the highest paid comedian in Nigeria.
2. I Go Die
Francis Agoda (I Go Die) is one comedian i love so much. His strong use of the warri pidgin english in cracking jokes makes him even more outstanding. he is if not the best when it comes to ribs cracking. at a very young age (13 ) he won a scholarship to study structural engineering at New York University but rejected the offer because he knew right from the onset that comedy was his calling.

3. Gordons
Godwin Komone a.k.a Gordons is also our very own boy and he has made us proud in several occasion. The Warri-born songwriter, singer and comedian got even more popular when he released his single "Welu Welu" which caught the attention of so many personality and was a major hit then in every radio stations.
The Integrated Science graduate of the Delta State University is not just a musician and a comedian, he is a man who knows the value of education and has decided to bring a little bit of education into entertainment, by creating a brand named “psycho-comedy” that makes the listener laugh, and at the same time learn as well.
4. Akpororo
Warri-born comedian, Bowoto Jephta (Akpororo ) is one outstanding comedian i respect so much. his mode of comedy is so real and can be very funny atimes.
He started comedy officially in 2008 and had his major breakthrough at the AY Open Comedy Mic show.
His own type of comedy is infectious; his jokes hits you so hard like a big blow on your head. Akpororo has a way of cracking jokes with almost anything he sees around him and that makes him special.
When asked during an interview, he discloses that he got most if his inspirations today through lunatics and you can see that manifesting from the way he acts.
